Anna Rebus has over 20 years experience as a museum specialist, interpretive planner, historian, author, and archaeologist at the local and international levels. As a consultant, she provides research, writing, and exhibit development services to museums, historic sites, interpretive centres, and heritage-focused organizations. Recent clients include the Alberta Museums Association, The Hangar Flight Museum, City of Calgary, and the CKUA Radio Network.

Anna honed her archaeology skills while working for Parks Canada in national parks across western Canada along with summers spent at the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center in Cortez, Colorado.

As an author, Anna has written dozens of publications—her books include Inside the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology; Airdrie 1909-2009: Celebrating 100 Years of History, Community and Opportunity; and Many Voices, One Heritage: A Celebration of Hungarian Culture in Calgary.

Anna spent three years as an Interpretation Officer with the South Australia Department for Environment and Heritage in Adelaide, South Australia. Here she developed state-wide strategic interpretive plans and wrote interpretive materials for national parks. She was the Interpretation Australia Association state representative for South Australia and a state chapter committee member of Museums Australia.

Using the principles of thematic interpretation, Anna challenges her clients to reflect on their organizational history, purpose, and intended goals to identify key themes for presentation. Anna has a passion for natural and cultural heritage, and this is reflected in her desire to discover and share the stories of people, cultures, and the world around us.
